SHIFTING THE ENERGY
The Olive Free Library Association is very pleased to present the exhibition Shifting the Energy showcasing the works of twelve retired art educators from the Hudson Valley. The show, curated by Linda Schultz will run from January 22 through March 5, 2022 with an opening on Saturday, January 22 from 3 – 5 pm.
Linda Schultz says about this exhibition, “Art Educators are devoted to providing quality experiences for their students. Once an art teacher retires, he or she then shifts the energy from making their students the center of attention to perhaps focusing on themselves and their artwork. The regional artists represented in this show are people that I have gotten to know during my decades-long career as an art educator or are artists that were referred to me once I started exploring bringing this exhibition concept to live.”
The show’s participating artists are: Lara Giordano, Diane Godfrey, Louise Lefkovits, Yvette Lewis, Patrice Lorenz, Wilma Miller, Jacqueline O’Malley-Satz, Thomas Sarrantonio, Linda Schultz, Roberta Sickler, Cindy Sumerano, Kathy Yacoe.
