Join Dr. April Beisaw on a walking tour of Olive's historic cemeteries. Participants will carpool from the Olive Free Library to explore the Bushkill, Ashokan Rural, and Tongore/Old Tongore cemeteries. At each cemetery April will tell stories of people she has come to know through her research on how the Ashokan Reservoir changed the town. There will be some time for participants to tell additional stories. If you have information you would like to contribute to April's research, feel free to bring paper copies or submit it to her via email at apbeisaw@vassar.edu
We will be walking on uneven ground and crossing areas that may have thorny bushes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and long pants. Bring bug spray, SPF, water and anything you need to be comfortable.
