Opening September 20, 2025, 3-5pm

The Olive Free Library Association is very pleased to present the exhibition Roundish featuring 14 visual and performance artists' works in various media focusing on round and roundish forms. The show, curated by Mimi Czajka Graminski will be on display from September 20 through November 1, with an opening reception on Saturday September 20, 3 – 5 pm and an artists' meet & greet and participatory performance on the closing day, Saturday November 1, 2 – 4 pm.

Mimi Czajka Graminski says about this exhibition, "Roundish, round, round up, round down, around, surround.....This exhibition highlights work that incorporates rounded corners, circular forms, softened angles, and smoothed edges. A variety of media are included from ceramics and mobiles to collage, sculpture, installation, and painting, all with the commonality of roundish forms."

Czajka Graminski continues, "The Roundish exhibition will have two events, an opening reception on Saturday September 20, and an artists' meet & greet and thematical participatory performance “Walking in Circles” by Riva Weinstein on the closing day (November 1) of the show. Walking in Circles is an invitation to slow down, focusing our attention on our breath and our feet by walking in circles, spirals, and figure 8s for 18 minutes in contemplation and celebration of life. The circles, spirals, and figure 8s represent natural circles of life, the daily rise and setting of the sun, the cycles of the moon, and the seasons. The intention is for participants to focus on their breath, their feet, the sensory stimuli around them, and to slow to a more sustainable pace that may provide a glimpse of what is possible when we simply breathe, simply walk, simply listen."
