Book Donation Guidelines

Do not bring more than 2 bags or boxes of donations per day. If you have a large collection, call the Library to make an appointment: (845) 657-2482.

Please do not leave donations on the porch or in the book drop!

All books should be in very good-to-like-new condition.

WE ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

• Fiction published after 2019

• Non-Fiction, especially gardening, cookbooks, photography, and art books

• Fiction “Classics” in pristine condition

• Records in good condition, without scratches

• DVDs, Blu-Rays and audiobook CDs

WE DO NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

• Fiction books published before 2019

• Mass market paperbacks

• Books with marks, stains, dust, mold or in poor condition

• Magazines, music CDs, Encyclopedias, Reader's Digest, Dictionaries, Textbooks, children’s books
