Documentary Filmmaking Intensive

Join award-winning cinematographer Matt Porwoll for a week-long hands-on workshop exploring the art and craft of documentary filmmaking. Students ages 15–21 will learn professional techniques for camera operation, sound recording, interviewing, visual storytelling, and editing while working with professional filmmaking equipment.

From planning and production to post-production, students will gain practical experience in every stage of the documentary process. All equipment will be provided.

No prior experience is required! This program is limited to 10 students, so we are accepting applications here. Selection is not first-come, first-served, but rather choosing the students that will have the most to offer to each other, as well as who will get the most out of the program.

August 10–15, 2026 (Monday - Saturday) • 10:00am–2:30pm
$100 per student • (Scholarships available)
